Welcome to the Taiwan Lexington Chinese School! This school was founded in 1984 by Taiwanese immigrants who wanted to pass their knowledge of Traditional Chinese writing and culture to their children. We want to invite you to experience what these immigrants wanted their children to do. Mandarin is the official language of countries such as Hong Kong, China, and of course, Taiwan! Other parents and children have since shared the same enthusiastic and motivating passion for learning Mandarin. We continue to grow and become the most authentic Traditional Chinese learning establishment in the Bluegrass.
Whether you have spoken some Chinese at home or have never spoken Chinese at all, we have a class for you. We offer several targeted to meet different levels of needs for students from all backgrounds. More importantly, we emphasize Traditional Chinese handwriting, which allows you to recognize and understand the true meanings behind these beautiful characters that have been passed down from ancient Chinese history.
Several of our alumni have been admitted to elite college institutions, such as Stanford University, Columbia University, Vanderbilt University, Dartmouth College, University of Southern California, Boston University, and Georgia Institute of Technology.
